My Goal Weight

I decided that my goal weight for this round is going to be 182.5.  I want to lose 80 pounds and hope to do it in 3 rounds, which means a release of about 26.5 lbs each round.  I should be able to do 26.5 lbs in 43 days, right?

VLCD 5

Weight: 202.0 lbs
Total loss: 7.2 lbs

yesterday was a rough day.  And I didn't end up eating vegetables and only one of my servings of fruit.  I went to a Dodger game with a huge group of friends.  Sporting events have some of my favorite foods...nachos, buttery popcorn, DIPPIN DOTS...but I didn't cheat at all.  it was great to go out and do something social as that's really difficult on this diet.

here is the Recipe for the Mexican Chicken Soup I was so excited about the other day.  I will probably eat this at least 3 times a week...like I said, it actually made me feel full.

VLCD 4

Weight: 202.8
Total Loss: 6.4 lbs.  

I am very fearful of low weight loss days and gains petrify me.

Yesterday I ate the same cilantro lime shrimp for lunch and a mexican soup for dinner.  I'll post the recipe soon.  The soup made great diet food.  I ate three bowl fulls and was STUFFED.  Being stuffed felt really great.

VLCD 3

Weight: 204
Total Weight Loss: 5.2 lbs

Woot!  It's exciting to lose weight, isn't it?

Yesterday I had shrimp with a cilantro lime sauce for lunch.  I made this chicken broth and then used it to make this lemon chicken soup.  The soup wasn't that good.  I think I may have used too much water and not enough chicken for the broth.

Yesterday I used lime juice instead of lemon juice to make my strawberry smoothie and I am converted!  it makes such a big portion and is so sweet that it seems nothing like diet food.

Yay!  It's so exciting to see the number on the scale go down!  I just woke up so I can't report what I've eaten yet but...

HAVE YOU SEEN THIS BLOG???  This woman is amazing.  It makes me so much more excited about being on this diet.  yipee!

VLCD 1

Weight: 210

So I gained .8 lbs.  I guess that's good.  :)

For lunch I ate a shrimp, spinach, and strawberry salad.  I made a dressing out of lemon juice, red wine vinegar, and salt and pepper.  It was good! For dinner I ate chicken with red onions and garlic.  Not so good.  :( For my dinner fruit portion i blended strawberries with ice and a little bit of lemon juice and put it in the freezer.  Yummy!  It made a huge portion which I ate later in the evening.  It really tasted like dessert and kept me from feeling deprived.

Load Day Two

Weight: 209.2.

Should I be concerned?  Did I not eat enough yesterday?  I'm afraid that I didn't eat enough.  Today I felt totally stuffed and disgusting so hopefully I will be okay.  I, as always, am interested in seeing what the scale says in the morning.

Today I ate:

3 Donuts
SIX Jack in the Box Tacos...man I love those things
JitB curly fries
Panda Express: Chow Mein, Orange Chicken, and Honey Walnut Shrimp
Milkshake

I think I've loaded wrong!  Too much sugar/starch and not enough healthy fat.  We will see how it goes!  I really can't wait to see what my weight does.

Total inches: 304

Here is me from the front.   As you can tell, The heaviest part of me is my hips/thighs.  The place I tend to lose weight the soonest is at the narrowest part of my waist, so I'll be excited to see that slim down and actually be shaped like a woman again.  I am really hoping my boobs will get smaller.  I'm sorry but being a 36I is unacceptable.  I would love to get down to a DD...here's to dreaming.

SCARY!  Sorry this picture is so awful.  I had been trying something new with eyeliner which is why I have one eye lined.  And I just woke up and hadn't done anythign with my hair yet.  And I didn't want to smile because  I thought it would interfere with giving a true picture og what my face actually looks like.

Here is a considerably better picture of me!  It's amazing what a little make-up and a flat iron can do.  (and the trick I learned from Tyra about how to not look like you have a double chin in photos).

Load Day One

Weight- 209.2! (Sick I know...officially the most I have ever weighed in my whole entire life.)

Today I took "before" pictures and had my mom measure me.  I'll be posting those tomorrow.

But today was load day, and yesterday I was literally fantaszing about today. I had:

5 small pancakes with butter and syrup
5 strips of bacon
a milkshake
about a million (8-9) stuffed spinach and ricotta cheese. 

Thats all...I feel like I didn't eat enough.  But tomoroow I am going to eat two foods that I have been lusting after for months...Jack in the Box tacos and Panda Express.  And donuts for breakfast.  YUM.

Welcome!

Hi!  I am starting the hcg diet tomorrow.  I am keeping this blog to help me keep motivated, record my results, and potentially inspire others.

I know that this diet is really controversial, and I have NEVER been one for "fad" or "extreme" diets, but a series of events in my life have brought me to a place where I'm willing to give it a try.  A lot of people have had a lot of success with it. 

I've done a fair amount of research and am prepared to follow the diet closely (perfectly, ideally).  Please comment with any words of encouragement.  :D
